The International Congress on Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease (AD/PD 2025), a key event in the field of neurodegenerative diseases, is taking place in Vienna, Austria from 1-5 April 2025. The conference series, which attracts medical and scientific professionals from around the world, focuses on advances in understanding the mechanisms of these diseases and improving their treatments. AD/PD 2025 is notable for its focus on disease mechanisms, prevention and therapy, addressing the similarities and differences between the various neurodegenerative disorders.
The Centre for Research on Neurological Diseases (CIEN) will have a prominent participation in this edition with the presentation of several oral and written communications (posters).
Presentations by CIEN researchers:
"Pathologic validation of plasma extracellular vesicle TDP-43 as biomarker for LATE-NC"
‘Klotho-VS heterozygosity reduces hippocampal atrophy rate and dementia risk in APOE-e4 carriers’.
"LATE & CO: dissecting the neurodegenerative heterogeneity of tau-negative amnestic syndromes"
"Post-mortem MRI analysis of cholinergic white matter pathways in Alzheimer’s disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, and other neurodegenerative diseases".
"Subject-level detection of convergent and divergent neurodegeneration patterns using spatiotemporal connectomics: towards atrophy characterization in preclinical Alzheimer's disease"
"A longitudinal analysis of the influence of renal function on plasma biomarker levels in dementia patients with neuropathological diagnosis"
"Impact in Lewy Body (co-) pathology on hypometabolism patterns and clinical trajectories in Amnesic Cognitive Impairment"
CIEN's participation in AD/PD 2025 reaffirms its commitment to cutting-edge research in neurodegenerative diseases and its contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge in this field at this annual reference congress for the scientific community in the study of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and related neurological disorders, with a focus on advances in science and therapy.
