Since the inauguration of the Reina Sofia Foundation AlzheimerCentre (CAFRS) in 2007, CIEN has carried out numerous research projects, both publicly and privately funded, which have now come to an end. However, due to their magnitude and importance within our centre, we would like to highlight some of them in this section, as their cohort of volunteers continues to feed into subsequent projects and because the data and samples collected continue to be used to carry out studies, as is the case with the Vallecas Project, funded for 10 years by the Reina Sofia Foundation.
