Part of the CIEN team is this week in London participating in the 7th International Course Biomarkers for Neurodegenerative Diseases, a world reference event that brings together leading specialists in neuroimaging and biomarkers applied to neurodegenerative diseases. On behalf of CIEN, Dr. Michel Grothe, head of the Neuroimaging Platform, participates as a lecturer, offering the presentation ‘PET imaging of glucose metabolism’, a fundamental molecular neuroimaging technique in the study of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.
This intensive week-long course is aimed at the next generation of clinical researchers and addresses some of the most advanced techniques in the field of neuroscience. With participants coming from all over the world, the course has become a unique platform for knowledge transfer on the most innovative techniques in clinical research on neurodegenerative diseases.
Among the topics covered were neuroimaging, biomarkers in blood, and the use of cerebrospinal fluids, key technologies to advance in the early detection and study of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's, among others.
Our growing international projection is clearly reflected in our presence at this course. This event highlights the importance of global collaboration and continuous training to advance in the fight against neurodegenerative diseases.
Our participation not only highlights the scientific level of our team, but also reaffirms our commitment to excellence in research, as well as strengthening our position as a key player in international neuroscience research and the study of neurodegenerative diseases.
