CIEN (Center for Research on Neurological Diseases) strengthens its commitment to research and collaboration in the field of neurodegenerative diseases with the incorporation of two leading organizations into its Board of Trustees: the Spanish Parkinson’s Federation (FEP) and the Spanish Alzheimer’s Confederation (CEAFA).
The inclusion of both organizations was formalized today during an extraordinary meeting of CIEN’s Board of Trustees, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. The meeting was attended by institutional representatives, scientists, and patient association members, creating a multidisciplinary space for cooperation.
The addition of FEP and CEAFA represents a strategic step forward in enhancing the active participation of patients in research governance, as well as in promoting initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for people affected by Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and other neurodegenerative diseases.
CIEN, affiliated with the Carlos III Health Institute, thus continues to advance in its mission to promote scientific excellence and a translational approach to neurology, with an integrative vision that connects science, society, and public health.
