Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Instituto de Educación Secundaria Villa de Vallecas to CIEN — a school from our very own neighborhood, with whom we share a commitment to education and science.
Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the work carried out by our scientific teams in Neuropathology, Clinical Evaluation, Neuroimaging, and Biomarkers. Through presentations and interactive activities, they explored how the brain works and the vital role research plays in understanding neurodegenerative diseases.
One of the most enriching moments was the "Ask a Scientist" session, where students exchanged questions and reflections with researchers from the center.
We at CIEN are grateful to IES Villa de Vallecas for their enthusiasm, interest, and engagement. Visits like these strengthen the bond between science and society — especially with schools that are part of our own community.
We look forward to seeing you again soon… and most of all, we hope we’ve inspired a spark of scientific curiosity!
