This morning, the scientific director of CIEN (Centre for Research on Neurological Diseases), Pascual Sánchez Juan, and the coordinator of the SCAP-AD Project, Isabel López Torres, held a telematic meeting with several representatives of the Federation of Associations of Relatives of People with Alzheimer's (FAFAL), including Luis Miguel Ballestero Blanco, president of FAFAL and vice-president of AFEAM.

The aim of the meeting was to strengthen collaboration between the two entities and share information on the research projects currently being developed at CIEN, such as the SCAP-AD Project, an initiative that seeks to advance knowledge and understanding of Alzheimer's from a scientific and social perspective. During the meeting, the project was explained, its current status and the next steps.

In addition, it was agreed to establish new lines of collaboration with FAFAL to encourage the active participation of associations in the research projects promoted by CIEN.

CIEN maintains constant collaboration with associations of relatives of people with Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases in the Community of Madrid, convinced that working together with these entities is key to research that is connected to the reality of patients and their environments.
