The 6th Iberian Congress on Prions will be organized this year by the Prion laboratory of the Centro de Investigación en Sanidad Animal (CISA-INIA) and it will take place in Cordoba, Spain, the 26th and 27th of October 2017.
The main purpose of the conferences is for us to discuss the latest research being carried out inprion diseases and the broader field of neurodegenerative diseases. One important topic of the conference will be to examine the commonalities and differences between prion diseases andother neuro-degenerations, such as Alzheimer’s disease. We aim to provide an opportunity to hear the latest international research in a diverse range of subject areas within the field. There will beinvited speakers internationally recognized and selected speakers including young scientists at the start of their careers.
This annual event provides a unique opportunity for scientists and PhD students to share their lastfindings and progress in an attractive and interesting setting. The meeting will take place in the government building of the Universidad de Cordoba, a beautiful construction of "neomudéjar" style. The city of Cordoba, ancient capital of the Caliphate of Cordoba, has the largest urban area in the world declared World Heritage by UNESCO. You all are cordially invited to visit Cordoba and fully enjoy this vibrating city.
